Fr. Lloyd Gnirk was recently welcomed to the board in early 2014. He lends his expertise and talents as a member of the development committee.
Fr. Gnirk currently serves as Pastor of St. John in Valley, NE, with previous appointments at St. Rose parish and St. Pius the Tenth. He has a Master of Divinity from St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul and was ordained to the priesthood in 1978.
Fr. Gnirk is a native of Norfolk, NE and attended St. John (now Mount Michael) High School. He received a BA in French and Teacher Certification from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. He also received a Master of Science in Secondary Administration from Creighton University. Fr. has held numerous positions on boards and committees in the Archdiocese of Omaha, including service as the National Federation of Priests’ Council Delegate for two years. He most recently completed 24 years of service on the Omaha Mayor’s Clergy Advisory Board, is President Emeritus of Roncalli Catholic High School, and a member of the Archdiocesan Deposit and Loan Board.
